ESCANABA — Barb Scott and Paula Gustafson shot a 42 to tie for the top spot in the Escanaba Country Club’s Women’s League Wednesday. They were followed by Connie Kangas, Ann Marie Porath, Laura Clifford, Meghan Casey, Jessica Bray, Molly Lancour 43, Mary Bergman 44, Sharon Willette, Sharon Nelson 45, Jen Shepich 46, Tennille Jupe, Schendell LeGault, Karen Kelly 49, Laurie Johnson and Diane Cannon 50.

Ryder Cup

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Golf Club held its annual 2-man Senior Ryder Cup Thursday.

In Division A, Kelly Shea and John Nevala shot 67 to earn top honors. They were followed by Jeff and Larry Bratonia, Scott Neurohr and Troy Carlson, and Bob Hewitt and Dale Hongisto 68.

In Division B, Mark Hager and Glen Pearson finished first with a 67. They were followed by Gary Bricco and Bubba Skellenger 72, Dwayne Couillard and Chris Haleg, and Rich Trombly and Tom McLaughlin 74.

For Division C, Bill Swartz and Wayne Marshall came first with a 69. They were followed by Gene Folcik and Gary Micheau 75, and Don Negrinelli and Randy Paris 76.
