Indians raffle

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone senior and junior Indians will be selling Gladstone Lions Club Annual 4th of July raffle tickets at Pat’s Foods in Gladstone Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Half of the sales will be donated to the Indians’ program.

ESCANABA — The 75th annual Michigan-Wisconsin Tennis Open will be held Aug. 6-7 in Escanaba.

Singles registration is $20 and doubles is $24 per team.

Singles will be played Saturday, with doubles taking place Sunday.

Entry deadline is July 22.

GLADSTONE — Rory Johnson, with the help of a pitching wedge, aced 104-yard No. 14 at the Terrace Bluff Golf Cllub recently.

GLADSTONE — Kelly Shea led the Gladstone Golf Club’s Monday Senior Men’s League with 73.

He was followed by Terry Cartwright, Steve Bratonia 75, Wayne Marshall 76, Dick Pepin, Dave Windberg 78, Kim Clouse and Brian Erkkila 79.

There was a three-way tie at the top of the Monday Men’s Late League between Jamie Davison, Brent Kallio and Jared Ness with 38.

They were followed by Korey Smith 39.

Connie Rian sat atop the Tuesday Women’s League 18-hole Division with 94.

In the 9-hole division, Lori Shea led the pack with 39.

She was followed by Holly Canull 42, Judy Cappeart, Cheryl Dykes 44, Robin Schwartz 45, Wendy Bratonia 46, Sandy Dagenias 47, Ann Davison 48 and Mary Kallio 49.

Cancer Alliance

golf scramble

ESCANABA — The Delta County Cancer Alliance will host a four-player golf scramble July 14 at Escanaba Country Club.

The event is dedicated to Cheri Severinsen in recognition for her many years of dedicated volunteer service with the Cancer Alliance.

Deadline to register for golf is July 5. Entry fee is $100 per player and includes lunch, Stef’s fries and a steak dinner. Lunch will be available from 10-11 a.m., and golf has a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

Checks should be made out to the Delta County Cancer Alliance.
