UPPER PENINSULA – Limestone Financial Credit Union (FCU), Schoolcraft Tourism and Commerce (STC) and the Manistique Merchants (a committee of STC) will be co-hosting the Summer Street Party on Friday, June 12. The Summer Street Party will be in the social district of Manistique from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

This event is open to the entire community. Guests can expect a live music performance from a local Manistique favorite, The Miller Time Band, family-friendly entertainment, bean bag toss and much more. Limestone FCU, Schoolcraft Tourism and Commerce and the Manistique Merchants encourage the community to invite friends, family and colleagues to attend this year’s Summer Street Party.

During the Summer Street Party, Limestone FCU’s Team will have an interactive booth featuring the Limestone Legacy Foundation, giving community members an opportunity to learn more about the foundation’s mission and see firsthand the impact of local giving.

The Limestone Legacy Foundation is a meaningful initiative that deepens Limestone FCU’s commitment to creating a lasting impact in the communities we serve. The foundation focuses on advancing youth and adult financial literacy, promoting youth entrepreneurship, awarding community impact grants, providing emergency assistance to members and local organizations and funding scholarships.

Attendees will be able to explore how funds are directed back into the community and the difference these contributions make throughout the region. In addition, Limestone FCU will highlight its $1/Month Club, a simple way for members to give back on an ongoing basis. Every dollar donated through the program will be matched by Limestone FCU – up to $20,000 for the 2026 calendar year.

“We are excited to once again partner with the Manistique Merchants and Schoolcraft Tourism and Commerce to bring the Summer Street Party back to downtown Manistique,” said Jennifer C. Watson, CEO of Limestone FCU. “This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community, support local businesses, and bring people together for a fun summer evening. We are especially excited to showcase the Limestone Legacy Foundation this year and share how local giving can create a meaningful impact throughout the communities we serve.”
