ESCANABA — The Escanaba boys baseball team will do something tonight they have never done in school history, host a regional playoff game. The Eskymos will host the Petoskey Northmen tonight at 5:00 p.m. at Al Ness Field. Both teams come into this matchup with 24-8 records and both teams were swept in a doubleheader by Traverse City St. Francis. The Eskymos have a powerful one two punch on the mound with Lennox Peacock and Cannon Arnt as well as the ability to hit up and down the order. Brody Ison set the school record for triples earlier this season and Peacock broke the career strikeout record this season.
The Eskymos on paper look to be a pretty even matchup and should lead to a very competitive contest. Come on down and support the Eskymos as they look to keep the season going. First pitch from Al Ness Field is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
