POWERS — The North Central football team rolled past Rapid River 72-0 here Friday.

The Jets jumped out to a 29-0 lead in the first quarter on the back of two rushing touchdowns from Luke Gorzinski, a TD catch from Gorzinski to Carter Tietz and a punt return from Alex Naser.

North Central didn’t look back. The Jets added 28 in the second and 15 in the fourth to finish the game.

The Rockets had difficulty stopping the Jets’ offense, with North Central running 15 offensive plays to Rapid River’s 52 despite earning more than 200 more yards in total offense.

Luke Gorzinski went 4-4 for 90 yards and a passing touchdown to Tietz. He also had 91 on the ground on two attempts. Both were for touchdowns.

Elijah Gorzinski made good use of his sole run that went for 52 yards and a touchdown.
