Wolves topple Mustangs
CARNEY — The Carney-Nadeau Wolves made short work of Munising here Tuesday night in a 3-0 (25-5, 25-13, 25-6) volleyball victory over the Munising Mustangs.
Liana Blahnik led the Wolves with 12 service aces, seven kills, two blocks and eight digs. Taylor Kedsch added 10 kills and four digs and Haley Ernest had 26 assists and seven digs.
“We played probably one of our better matches tonight,” said C-N coach Steve Kedsch. “I felt we covered the floor pretty well. Our serving was good. We did a good job running our offense and continued to play pretty much error-free volleyball.”
The Wolves, who dropped the jayvee match (25-19, 25-20), visit Peshtigo, Wis. Monday.
Carney-Nadeau — Blahnik (12 aces, seven kills, two blocks, eight digs); Walcher (two aces, two kills, four digs); Kedsch (10 kills, four digs); Baumler (three kills); Kirschner (three kills).
