GLADSTONE — The Gladstone girls won three doubles matches, but weren’t able to overcome West Iron County’s sweep of the singles here Thursday in a 5-3 tennis loss to the Wykons.

Gladstone’s Emma Wagner and Alesha Marenger took a 6-4, 6-1 decision from Katarina Hemeleski and Aubrey Bice in No. 2 doubles.

Montgomery Pepin-Maggie Buckley trimmed Hailee Bradshaw-Callista Bortolameolli 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Lahna Castor-Sophia Rose topped Autumn Smith-Bailey Hoffart 7-5, 6-0 in No. 4.

The Braves travel to Kingsford Wednesday.
