ESCANABA — With three weeks of racing in the books at the Escanaba Motor Speedway it time for another Meet the Driver. This week we introduce you to sport mod driver Doug Belongia Jr. Doug currently sits sixth in points on the season.

Adam Hinch: So. When did you get into racing?

Doug Belongia Jr. “I started about eight years ago in a sport compact.

AH: What do you like to do away from racing?

DBJ: I like to do a little hunting and spend a lot of time with the kids they play baseball during the summer so I watch a lot of games.

AH: Do you fish at all?

DBJ: I do some fishing not as much as I would like to though.

AH: What is your favorite food for a barbecue?

DBJ: I like brats.

AH: What is your favorite NFL team?

DBJ: The Los Angeles Rams.

AH: Who is your favorite NASCAR driver?

DBJ: It was Kyle Busch so now im going to have to pick a new one.

AH: If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go?

DBJ: Alaska.

AH: Is there a specific dirt track you would like to race at that you haven’t?

DBJ: I’d say somewhere out east not sure where but I have raced out west but never been out east.

AH: What is your favorite soda?

DBJ: Mountain Dew Voltage.
