Rapid River win first regional championship in three years

RAPID RIVER — Freshman Evonna LaCosse had a hand in four firsts here Wednesday, helping the Rapid River girls capture their first Division 3 regional track and field championship in three years. She took the 800-meter run in two minutes, 44.41 seconds, 1600 (6:09.02) and 3200 (13:09.51) and helped the Rockets take the 3200 relay (12:17.29). Rapid River boys claim Skyline Conference title for the first time since 2019

FELCH — Several years had passed since the Rapid River boys were crowned conference champions. The Rockets changed that here Tuesday, earning their first Skyline Central Conference track and field title since 2019 by scoring 105 points.
