Jets grounded by Red Devils in doubleheader

HERMANSVILLE — It was a tough day on the diamond for the North Central Jets as they dropped a doubleheader to the Wright Red Devils 16-2 in game one and 10-2 in game two.
Eli Ruostsala struck out 10 batters in game one as the Red Devils took it to the Jets. Ruostsala allowed two runs on seven hits in the contest and walked twice and scored both times he was on base.
Connor Sikonia had a two-run home run in the fourth inning to put the Red Devils up 9-0.
The Red Devils best inning was in the fifth inning when they pushed across seven runs on only three hits.
Seth Buck was responsible for both the Jets runs as he hit a two-run double in the fifth inning.
The Red Devils out hit the Jets 10 to seven in the contest and the Jets had seven errors to only one for the Red Devils.
Parker Osterman homered in the sixth inning of game two scoring two runs.
Randall Kashich earned the win for the Red Devils allowing two runs on two hits with three strikeouts and five walks.
The Jets travel to face Superior Central on the road tonight.
