Highland ladies

GLADSTONE — Ann Madalinski led the Highland Golf Club’s Ladies League here Wednesday with 43.

She was followed by Rachael Latta 45, Patti Dittrich, Laura Adams, Carol Terres, Rose Peltier, Sherry Klatt 48, Theresa Klein, Denise Porath, Lori Johnson, Karen Ettenhofer and Anne Okonek 49.

Firecracker Run

GLADSTONE — The Firecracker five-mile run and 2 1/2-mile walk takes place July 4 at 8 a.m.

This year’s race is being held in memory of Dave Lahtinen, a longtime cross country and track coach and math instructor at Gladstone High School.

The event also includes a kids’ one-mile fun run.
