KINGSFORD — The Escanaba boys tennis team stood head and shoulders above their opponent at the Great Northern Conference match Thursday in Kingsford.

The Eskymos earned the GNC title with a total score of 46, more than 20 points ahead of second-place finisher Marquette (24).

Menominee took third with 17, Kingsford 15, West Iron County 10 and Munising 6.

GLADSTONE — Erik Spindler walked away at the top of the Terrace Bluff Golf Club’s Monday men’s League with a 35.

He was followed by John Nevala 37, James Krueger 38 and Ryan Chaillier 39.

GLADSTONE — Steve Douglas and Adam Scheeneman tied at the top of the Terrace Bluff Golf Club’s Wednesday Men’s League with 37.

They were followed by Alex Sullivan, Kevin Gendron 38, Jake Peterson, Tyler Depuydt and James Gereau 39.

GLADSTONE — Betty Fleury topped the Tuesday Terrace Bluff Ladies with a 41.

She was followed by Mary Johnson 43, Ann LaBumbarb 44, Wendy Hathaway 45, Geri Alank, Courtney Nevala, Amy Stupak 46, Fay Bopp 47, Mandy King, Patty Delveaux, Sarah Carlson 48, Carol Prins, Nancy Sabor and Julie Mayville 49.

The previous week, Denise Wilson earned top spot with a 43.

She was followed by Betty Fleury 44, Amy Stupak, Judy LaFleur 45, Fay Bopp 47, Cathy Sjoquist, Donna Hubert, Juanita Selin, Courtney Nevala, Mary Johnson 48, Sarah Carlson and Wendy Hathaway 49.
