ESCANABA — Nine local players made the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Region 2 All-Region team recently.

In Division 3, Bark River-Harris and Manistique earned seven spots — Broncos seniors, Aspen Fredrick, Tressa Ives and Alaska Peterson and junior Carley Varoni and Manistique junior Nora Cunningham and sophomores Ella Schuetter and Emma Jones.

Two Superior Central players were honored in Division 4 — senior Riley Johnson and junior Riley Moore.

The Cougars also earned recognition as Kris Bray was awarded Region 2 Coach of the Year.

Varoni, Ives, Peterson and Johnson all recently made the Skyline Central Conference All-Conference Elite Team.

Fredrick and Moore were named to SCC First Team.
