Broncos topple Modeltowners
HARRIS — The Bark River-Harris Broncos downed the Gwinn Modeltowners 36-6 Friday night in Harris.
After scoring on their first drive of the game to make it 8-0, things stayed tight as the Broncos held the advantage 14-6 at the half. The second half is where Bark River pulled away.
“We kind of had a big third quarter,” said Broncos coach AL Stenberg. “We came out and scored 16 in the third quarter, and I was happy with how we responded in the second half.”
“It was definitely a tight game. Going into halftime, it was anybody’s game. We came out and took control right away (in the second half).”
Trevor Lippens — in addition to an interception — had 3 TDs with 124 yards on 25 carries.
Josiah Javurek and Vincent Martin each also scored during the game.
Stenberg also mentioned an interception by Logan Getzloff as a big point in the game as well.
