Owner of loose horses to be arraigned
ESCANABA — A man who identified himself to the Daily Press as the owner of the loose horses that prompted multiple public safety concerns across Delta County is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Delta County’s 94th District Court.
Arnold Proehl is expected to be arraigned on a charge of animal at large, according to court records.
The arraignment follows the recovery and return of several loose horses that authorities said had repeatedly escaped in recent weeks. The horses were the subject of multiple calls to law enforcement after they were seen roaming roadways and property in the area of T.65 Road in Masonville Township, creating potential traffic hazards and public safety concerns.
The case remains pending, and additional information is expected to become available following Wednesday’s arraignment.
