The Escanaba high school figure skating team tied for second at Level B and earned gold at Level C during the Michigan District 8 High School Series Event recently.

The team earned two second-place finishes in the third series at Level B jumps and spins but finished third in each other Level B event and series.

For Level C, Escanaba racked up seven gold finishes over three series.

In the overall standings, Escanaba tied for second with Marquette at Level B and finished first ahead of Houghton and Marquette in Level C.
