BRH boys earn spot

on AP’s cager poll

HARRIS — The undefeated Bark River-Harris boys basketball team earned a spot on the Associated Press Boy’s Basketball poll Monday.

The Broncos took the ninth spot in Division 3 with 26 points. Preceding the Broncos were McBain, Oscoda, Hanover-Horton, Iron Mountain, Schoolcraft, Pewamo-Westphalia, Hemlock and Flint Beecher. Reese rounded out the list at the 10 spot.

Road race March 14

ESCANABA — The 37th Annual Escanaba Slip-Sliding-Away five-mile fun run is set for March 14 at 2 p.m.

Registration begins at 12:30 in the conference room at Harbor Towers. Entry fee is $3 in advance and $5 on race day. Trophies will be awarded to the top individual male and female finishers with ribbons going to the top three in each age division.

Phone registrations will be accepted at the lower rate through March 13 at midnight.
