Broncos buck North Central
POWERS — The Bark River-Harris volleyball team finished off the North Central Jets in straight sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-10) in Powers Thursday.
Despite good serve receive from North Central, the Broncos sealed the set after some on-court adjustments with a seven-point run from Selena Britton.
“I think, we as a team came out flat,” Broncos coach Jennifer Ives said. “In the first set, North Central had really nice serve receives, and it threw our girls off a little bit. We didn’t have alot of energy or excitement. Also, I think both teams were trying to adjust to playing with the masks.”
After the adjustments, Bark River was able to take control in the second set.
“Set two was a little stronger,” Ives said. “We took a good lead out front with some strong serving by Carley Varoni, Tressa Ives, Lexi Berg and Alli Richer.”
Britton returned in the third set with an eight-point run that included four aces, and Kassidy Roll added to her kill count.
Bark River hosts Ishpeming Monday.
