Menominee sheriff seeking missing man

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate a missing person in Cedarville Township.

On Friday, deputies were dispatched to Cedar River State Camp Ground where a 58 year old Illinois man, Vladmir Ivanovicwas reported missing near the banks of the Big Cedar River. He is , 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. The search for the man is continuing.

“I’m requesting that hunters, landowners and residents on the Big Cedar River from CR 366 down river to the Bay of Green Bay in Cedar River, be especially observant to see a body and clothing in the river or on the shore of the Bay. Your observations this week and throughout and beyond the approaching holiday weekend will be instrumental in helping us find this missing person,” said Menominee County Sheriff Kenny Marks.

If residents see anything on land, river or bay that may help locate Ivanovic, call 911 immediately to report the sighting.
