Right to Life of Delta County plans events

ESCANABA — Right to Life of Delta County is announcing local events to mark the 48th anniversary on Jan. 22 of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Courts decision that legalized abortion. Plans for the year include the billboard now located on U.S. 2 and 41 by Anderson Tire going out of Escanaba, which will remain in place through Jan. 17. The message is “Work and Pray to restore legal protection for the unborn.”

A full-page signature ad will run in the Daily Press on Friday, Jan. 22, and the Knights of Columbus of Gladstone will hold a March for Life on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. March participants are asked to meet at All Saints Church in Gladstone and wear a mask. There will be social distancing to “stand for life.” Participants are encouraged to dress warm and bring a sign supporting life.
