Tree lighting ceremony canceled
ESCANABA — The Gladstone-Rapid River Tree Lighting Ceremony that was scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gladstone Beachhouse in Van Cleve Park has been cancelled. The Christmas Tree of Honor and Remembrance will still be lit at that time, but the gathering, that usually occurs, is cancelled due to COVID-19. Check out the website, www.gladstone kiwanis.weebly.com, to see a list of names for who lights were purchased in honor or memory of. A book will also be displayed at the Gladstone City Hall with all of the names in it.
