Church bells to ring for Bells for Hospice 2020

ESCANABA — November is National Hospice Month. In recognition and remembrance, the Ring Bells for Hospice campaign is launched throughout Michigan as well as the local area to help further awareness of hospice organizations and the hospice philosophy.

Due to COVID-19 precautions this year there will not be a traditional gathering of OSF Home Care & Hospice and UP Health System Home Care andHospice staff, volunteers and those from the community who typically ring bells in memory of those in the community who have passed under hospice care in the past year. However, local churches will ring their bells at Noon on Monday, November 2 to continue the ringing of bells this year and honor the memories of those who have passed away as well as the special care that hospice offers in focusing on the quality of life for people and their caregivers when experience an advanced, life-limiting illness.
