Drive-thru flu shot clinic planned

ESCANABA — Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties will be holding its annual community drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, Sept. 26. The clinic will be held in the Public Health parking lot at 2920 College Ave., Escanaba, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for the flu shot is $30. Also available this year is high dose flu vaccine for $50. Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Michigan and most private insurance can be billed.

Public Health continues to recognize the need to offer a drive-thru service to those who have difficulty walking. Limited mobility is not a requirement to attend the drive-thru clinic, and all individuals are welcome to attend. No appointments are necessary, and people are asked to come during the designated time period according to the first letter of their last name:

A-D – 9 -10 a.m.

E-K – 10 – 11 a.m.

L-Q – 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

R-Z – 12 – 1 p.m.

Anyone unable to attend the clinic according to the schedule may come anytime between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, please wear a facemask if you are medically able.

For the safety of Public Health staff, participants are asked to please leave their pets at home.
