Golf ball drop planned in this summer

ESCANABA — Aug. 1 will be the third year the Escanaba Recreation Department and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area will hold its Golf Ball Drop. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to youth in the Delta County area.

A ticket can be purchased online at www.bbbsbayarea.org. – Tickets will also become available at the following in the near future:

– Catherine Bonifas Civic Center at 225 North 21st St.

– Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 1100 Ludington St.

– Johnston Printing, 711 Ludington St.

– Rosy’s Diner, 1313 Ludington St.

Over $7,500 in cash and prizes are awarded. Dombrowski Tree Service who will be dropping 600 numbered golf balls from his crane. The positions of the balls after they are dropped determines the prizes awarded.
