Bay, LSSU BPA group to host fundraiser

ESCANABA — The Bay College and LSSU Regional Center chapter of Business Professionals of America announces its annual Chain of Love Fundraiser to raise money for local Special Olympics. The fundraiser will run for one week — Jan. 27 to 31. Volunteers will be accepting donations in the HUB on Bay College’s main campus from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each day. For a $1 donation, donors will receive a paper link. On the link, the donor may write the name of a special someone or an individual they would like to keep in mind. The individual links will be connected to form a large Chain of Love. This chain will be displayed in the HUB for the week. On the last day of the fundraiser, the money raised will be presented to Area 1 Special Olympics.

The proceeds from this event help cover costs that our local Area 1 Special Olympics program incurs. These costs include uniforms, equipment, and travel for all athletes. No athlete is required to pay because this organization wants them to be able to focus solely on having fun. The program is completely self-funded
