Daily Thread expands to Escanaba, Midwest

NEW YORK — Daily Thread, one of the nation’s emerging off-price retailers, announced an expansion plan that includes new locations set to open this month.

New locations include the Delta Plaza Mall in Escanaba. Other locations are: Greensburg, Penn., Bloomington, Ind., Green Bay, Wis., St. Paul, Minn., Sioux City, Iowa, Wooster, Ohio, Monroeville, Penn., Beavercreek, Ohio, and Schaumburg, Ill.

Building on an already significant presence in the Midwest, New York-based Daily Thread has managed to thrive in the difficult retail climate brought on by the pandemic thanks to 50% minimum discounts and clearance prices as low as $5. The chain’s novelty lies in its mix of established brands such as Juicy Couture, Frye, 525 America and the retailer’s own private labels, as well as an emphasis on size inclusivity that ranges from petite to extended sizes, company officials said.

“Daily Thread is a place to shop where every body is beautiful, and we are excited to introduce you to your new favorite store,” said Robin Putnam, regional director.

Daily Thread plans to open another 50 stores in 2022 across the United States and is currently at work on an e-commerce site that will allow for pre-orders of new arrivals.

By taking over existing spaces with minimal modifications, Daily Thread is able to offer the best deals by keeping expenses low, enabling a focus on customer service that’s more in line with that of a traditional boutique than other discount retailers, company officials said.

“We offer affordable fashion everyday with consistent newness in product that will bring you back multiple times a week. I have a team of fun and friendly associates to assist you,” said President Carmen Wamre. “You won’t find our level of customer service anywhere else in specialty retail.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
