Column: News businesses join Delta County Chamber

ESCANABA — The Delta County Area Chamber of Commerce provides an avenue for our business people to play a leadership role in building a healthy, vibrant community. We are a partner to every community, every business, and every citizen.

When a business joins the Delta County Area Chamber of Commerce, they become part of a county-wide network of businesses that have come together to promote quality of life in our area through a healthy business climate. This type of network is more important than ever during these uncertain times.

During its regularly scheduled board meeting held on June 9, 2022, four businesses were presented and approved for membership.

AmVets located at 1315 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba is a non-profit veterans’ organization which is also known as American veterans, is the most inclusive Congressionally chartered veterans service organization open to representing the interests of 20 million veterans and their families. Amvets are veterans serving veterans since 1944.

Diane Kay-Hougaboom is a is an experienced, ethical, effective attorney running for Delta County prosecutor. Diane has worked in criminal law for more than 15 years, representing both adults and children. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. The Chamber board was also proud to “re-member” the following business. Over time, for various reasons, a business may inadvertently let their membership lapse, but it is always great to see them come back on board to take advantage of the many benefits of chamber membership.

Link Learning Escanaba (Berrien Springs) located at 1620 Ludington Street, Escanaba is an online high school program using Michigan Merit 18 credits to graduate. The Chamber takes pride in its membership whose specialties range from local retail, commercial and industrial businesses, as well as professionals and other citizens in Delta County and surrounding areas interested in the concepts of business development, community improvement, and cultural and environmental enhancement.
