ESCANABA — Upper Peninsula Michigan Works! is planning a series of industry-focused career fairs that will take place at the Commerce Center in Escanaba this September. The events will take place on the following Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. September 8 (Healthcare), September 22 (Manufacturing), September 29 (Retail, Hospitality and All Other Industries).

“Many businesses are struggling to find the talent they need to keep their doors open,” said Beth Ann Belcher, business services specialist. “We hope the career fairs help fill some of those vacancies and show the businesses we care.”

The events are free for attendees and participating employers. Individuals who register and attend one or more of the career fairs will receive a free gift bag, plus a chance to win a $50 Chamber certificate. Although there is no charge for businesses to participate, due to limited space, registration is required.
