Hospital welcomes Stephen Smith, MD
ESCANABA — OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group welcomes Dr. Stephen Smith to its medical staff.
Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Stephen Smith will join Drs. Steven Dosh, C.N. Raveesh, Ronald Sherman, Fred Shaw and Physician Assistant Tiffany Molinari at OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group – Family and Internal Medicine practice on Monday, Jan. 7.
Dr. Stephen Smith earned a bachelor of science in sports medicine from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten in 2014 and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Alabama Residency in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 2017. He has been practicing in the American Family Care Urgent Care in Alabama since completing residency.
Dr. Smith resides in the Gladstone area with his wife, Dr. Keirsten Smith, a family medicine and sports medicine physician, who has also joined OSF HealthCare, and their two sons. He looks forward to getting established at OSF HealthCare and becoming part of the community. “I love the sense of camaraderie that I get when I talk to people from the U.P. and the welcoming way we have been received by everyone we’ve met so far,” said Dr. Smith.
Located at 3409 Ludington Street, Suite 203, Dr. Smith will begin seeing patients on Monday, Jan. 7, at the OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group Family and Internal Medicine practice in Escanaba.
