EDITOR: I just finished reading a recent article in your paper entitled “How much cruelty is a pork chop worth?” (October 6th 2022) the author describes conditions as a pregnant sow goes through in what the author calls the “inhumane realities of industrial animal production”. EDITOR: We are constituents in Theresa Nelson’s district and could not be any more proud to be represented by the best commissioner on the Delta County Board. Firstly, she has the best attendance record of not only the board meetings but also her assigned committee and city meetings. An astonishing example of this is when she was going through radiation. EDITOR: Teresa Nelson represents the citizens of District 3 on the Delta County Board of Commissioners. Currently the only woman on the board, Nelson has honorably and effectively represented District 3 since first taking office in 2017. Now Nelson is running against Bob Barron who currently represents District 5. When county board district lines were redrawn earlier this year, Barron’s residence was incorporated into District 3.
