Proposal 3
EDITOR:
I just finished reading a recent article in your paper entitled “How much cruelty is a pork chop worth?” (October 6th 2022) the author describes conditions as a pregnant sow goes through in what the author calls the “inhumane realities of industrial animal production”.
As I read the article I could not help but think of the “inhumane treatment” of women and babies in the “inhumane cycle” of abortion after abortion in abortion clinics.
Let’s think of the methods used to force a child to leave the comfort and safety of its mother’s womb (remember these abortions are seldom done to preserve the health of the mother or the result of incest or rape 94% of abortions are done for other reasons. Children do not volunteer leave the womb, but some violent surgical or “medical” procedures must be used. Scraping, suctioning, poisoning, scalding, dismemberment or partial birth abortion where women labor and personally delivered a live child.
After the baby’s head safely exits the woman’s body an instruments stabs the baby in the neck and their spinal cord causing death. How many babies are accidentally born alive despite attempt to end their lives (murder them) we’ll never know because records are not kept.
Despite these violent attempts to “end their lives” some children survive abortion attempts. Even those “born alive” are not safe under Proposal 3. Under this Proposal 3 – children who are born alive after abortion attempts will be denied medical life-saving treatment.
Vote no on Proposal 3 it is “inhumane” for mothers and children.
