EDITOR: As a former County Commissioner of Delta County for 12 plus years and two as chairman I very highly recommend Theresa Nelson for reelection to the county board for District 3. I have personally known Theresa for 30 years and have the upmost respect for her and the work she has done for this community. Two weeks or walk?

EDITOR: The city manager works for the people of Escanaba. When I read, "I have no intention of agreeing to any changes to my contract" I read that he was told by his performance review that he hadn't performed as expected. I read that he dared the council to fire him but make sure he got his severance package. There should have been a laugh track when he said, "Then we can negotiate a new contract." Why isn't he following the contract and performing as expected? And what makes him think "If he was fired that he would even be considered for the job again? Employees without a pocket ...

EDITOR: I have known Dave Moyle for over 20 years, he served as the mayor pro term for Escanaba when my wife was mayor. There were several things that stuck out about Dave that I remember to this day, if he said he was going to do something, he did it, and he never failed once to have my wife’s back when she was mayor. Even when he called himself a Democrat, he was a staunch protector and supporter of the Second Amendment. EDITOR: Some of you may not remember when we had a representative in Congress who actually cared about Yoopers. Men from either party who, once in Washington, never forgot whom they represented.
