We are constituents in Theresa Nelson’s district and could not be any more proud to be represented by the best commissioner on the Delta County Board.

Firstly, she has the best attendance record of not only the board meetings but also her assigned committee and city meetings. An astonishing example of this is when she was going through radiation. During the height of Covid, Ms. Nelson politely requested the other Board members wear masks. They refused. Theresa continued to show up. That’s true dedication to her constituents and her job.

To her credit, Ms. Nelson was instrumental in returning daytime use of O.B. Fuller Park amidst much controversy. Delta County tax dollars fund this park and Theresa fought to make sure taxpayers could enjoy this recreational area. She is currently working aggressively with churches and individuals for the continuation of Hope at the Inn (homeless shelter). Both funding and volunteers are desperately needed and it is particularly concerning with the colder temperatures.

Unlike others on the commission, Ms. Nelson is always respectful. Unlike others on the Commission, she does not use profanity or denigrate a political party or those serving at the State and Federal level. Unlike her opponent, she has no hidden agenda or conflicts of interest. We have witnessed only professionalism from Theresa Nelson and will gladly cast our votes for her.
