For more than 50 years, Medicare has provided effective, low-cost healthcare to millions of seniors. In addition, critical health care coverage for many thousands of younger Americans who are disabled is also provided by Medicare.

By giving a One trillion, five hundred billion dollar tax cut to the wealthiest few in America, the Republicans have created a budget crisis which they intend to exploit as an excuse to cut many important programs such as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Leading the charge to starve, disrupt and dismantle these fundamental health insurance programs are Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

First up on their list of targets to cripple through massive funding cuts is Medicare.

Republicans in Congress aim to slash $25 billion from this lifesaving benefit upon which tens of millions of Americans rely.

If you believe that Medicare is an important, lifesaving benefit that you have earned through your work and paid for through your payroll tax deductions (FICA), then you need to join us in speaking out against these devastating budget cuts.
