Rational or emotional

EDITOR:

Before you vote on the current recall election, ask yourself – am I a Rational voter who is well informed on the issues that surround the recall? Or am I an Emotional voter being pulled along by the drama and personal agenda of some of the crowd attending county board meetings and their social media?

Some things to ask yourself before you vote:

1) When did the idea of the recall begin? It began immediately after the election of the current commissioners when Kelli VanGinhoven lost to Commissioner Moyle, one of the commissioners on the recall.

2) Who are the people who are the driving force behind the recall? One person would be Kelli VanGinhoven who coincidentally is running against Commissioner Moyle, hoping to fill his seat if he is recalled.

3) What are the issues causing the recall? The supposed unjustified firing of Emily DeSalvo the former administrator for the Board of Commissioners and a relate issue about the supposed bullying and mistreatment of Andrea Nummilien the former Airport Manager. Once again emotion and drama played their part surrounding the resignation letters of both parties. How could anyone possibly anticipate maintaining their job after publicly lambasting their bosses in a public forum, Ms DeSalvo? And Ms Nummilien impulsively resigned as airport manager in supposed reaction to Ms DeSalvo’s firing and alleged bullying by certain commissioners.

Once again, before you vote, decide if you will be a rational or emotional voter.
