June 7, 1966 — David Moberg ripped a two-run single in the 10th inning, lifting the Teamsters to a 5-3 baseball victory over the Bankers in the Escanaba Babe Ruth League. John Moberg became the winning pitcher, striking out nine and scattering eight hits. Bob Stacey allowed 11 hits and took the loss. June 9, 1966 — The Merchants unleashed a 16-hit attack in a 15-1 softball rout of Mead. Jim McGovern led the way with three hits, including a home run.
