Meet the Racer: Logan Getzloff

ESCANABA — With the 2025 race season at the halfway point, Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch Got a chance to sit down with Logan Getzloff during the Christian Groleau Memorial Race to discuss a variety of topics and about his friendship with the late racer.
Adam Hinch: What got you into racing?
Logan Getzloff: My cousin Steve Ives got me into racing. One day we went to the track he threw me in a car and I just stayed with it.
AH: What was the friendship bond like between you and Christian Groleau?
LG: Christian and I were really close. He is an easy guy to get along with. We always had good talks about racing.
AH: Is this race any harder to run with the friendship you two had?
LG: One thing I know about Christian is he would want me to run it like any other race and give it all I have every time out.
AH: What do you like to do outside of racing?
LG: I do a lot of hunting and enjoy playing golf.
AH: What is your favorite food?
LG: My favorite food would be a nice steak.
AH: What is your most memorable moment from your racing career?
LG: Winning the first ever Christian Groleau Memorial Race. That was a very good night for us.
AH: What is your favorite football team?
LG: The Detroit Lions.
AH: Are you a NASCAR fan and who is your favorite driver?
LG: I am and my favorite driver is Kyle Larson but it was Dale Earnhart Jr. back in the day.
AH: Coke or Pepsi guy?
LG: Pepsi
AH: What are your goals for this season?
LG: I want to have a fun season and not be super worried about points this season.
