ESCANABA –What’s better than having one player earn All State recognition?
Not two, but three players earning All State recognition.
Escanaba juniors Katey Lamb and Grayson LaMarche, as well as senior Anna Boutilier, all earned recognition for Division 2 from the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.

LaMarche earned First Team All-State honors as a pitcher for the second straight season.
She finished her junior campaign with a record of 13-1 with a 1.03 ERA and a 0.650 WHIP to go with 135 strikeouts to 10 walks across 67 2/3 innings. As a batter she accumulated a .551 batting average with three home runs and 20 RBIs and earn a .592 on-base percentage, a .841 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.433.

Lamb also earned First team All-State honors at third base.
She finished with a .490 batting average with nine home runs and 46 RBIs, striking out 15 times and walking 11 times and smacked 19 doubles. Lamb also accumulated an on-base percentage of .548, a slugging percentage of .961 and an OPS of 1.509.

Boutilier capped off her senior season as an All-State Honorable Mention selection at shortstop.
She finished with a .439 batting average with four home runs and 36 RBIs, striking out 16 times and walking 12 times. She also earned an on-base percentage of .493, a slugging percentage of .659 and an OPS of 1.151.
