Bark River-Harris baseball sweeps Cougars

BARK RIVER — A dominating team performance led Bark River-Harris baseball to a pair of wins over Superior Central, taking game one 11-1 and the second 16-4.

The first game was highlighted by an inside the park grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning and scored both times he got on base.

Broncos freshman Dane Schmitt went 2-for-3 at the plate in game one with two RBI.

Broncos junior Lucas hall was credited with the win allowing one run on four hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

The Broncos offense picked up right where they left off in game two as Ben Shiverski, Charlie Guenette, Dominic Lantagne and Troy Johnson each had two hits in the contest. Lantagne went 2-for-2 at the plate with three RBI and Ben Shiverski went 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Guenette earned the win allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out three and walking none.

The Broncos improved to 10-0 on the season, surpassing their win total from last season.
