NEGAUNEE — The third leg of Escanaba boys basketball’s four-game road trip to start its 2023-24 season resulted in its first loss of the year.

The Eskymos fell 66-51 to Negaunee on Tuesday.

Cody Noel led the orange and black with 13 points. Ben Johnsson scored eight points. Shane Wallin and javon Stephenson finished with six points each. Lennox Peacock and Jackson Cousineau added four points each. Bryson Lancour totaled three points. Nick Garcia scored two points and Adam Prey added a free throw.

The Eskymos finish their season-opening road trip against Kingsford at 7 p.m. Friday and host Norway for their home opener at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11th.
