FELCH — The North Central Jets girls basketball team absorbed a 42-32 loss Monday night against the North Dickinson Nordics in Felch.

North Dickinson (10-7) had an offensive attack led by Ahston Hord (11), Vanessa Lindholm (10) and Micah Lindholm (10), who combined for 31 of the team’s 42 points.

The Jets (3-11) were led by 14 from Gracie Kleikamp with contributions from Ashton Smith, Zoe LaBonte, Shea LaCoursier, Sam Burton and Carley Naser.

Coach Dave Florenski hopes the effort the Jets put in against the Nordics will help prepare them for the postseason as the regular season winds down.

“We came up a little short,” said Florenski. “The girls played hard, and we are trying to finish strong getting ready for districts.”

The Jets are back in action at home Thursday as they host the Rapid River Rockets.
