Meet the Driver: Jace Murray

ESCANABA — With now four regular season race nights in the books, tonight we meet a driver, Jace Murray who made his first trip to the Escanaba Motor Speedway all the way from Jacksonville, Florida and is only 13 years old. Murray also had the opportunity to race with Brexton Busch in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Tulsa Shootout in December of 2025.
Adam Hinch: What got you into the sport of racing?
Jace Murray: My dad raced when I was younger and I wanted to race and he let me race and he gets my car ready and good to go.
AH: What is your favorite part of racing?
JM: It is just so fun and exciting and the thrill of the sport is crazy.
AH: What do you like to do away from racing?
JM: I like to play soccer and ride 4-wheelers and dirt bikes and also like to get out and go fishing.
AH: What is your favorite sport to watch?
JM: I love soccer and I enjoy watching the FIFA World Cup. My favorite player is Lamine Yamal.
AH: What is your favorite food?
JM: I like pizza and burgers and french fries.
AH: What video games do you play?
JM: I Racing, World of Outlaws and some roblox.
AH: What is your favorite drink?
JM: I like Water, Sprite and Gatorade
AH: Where would you like to go on vacation?
JM: I love coming here to Michigan. Since I live in Florida this is where all my family and friends are and I have the time of my life here. It is so fun.
AH: What is your favorite kind of music?
JM: I like rap music.
AH: Is there a certain track you would like to visit?
JM: I want to go to Eldora. I have never been there and hopefully when I get older and racing bigger sprints I get to go there because it would be fun to be out there with those 410 sprints someday.
AH: Who is your favorite NASCAR driver?
JM: I would say Kyle Larson.
Murray finished second in the feature race on Salute to Veterans Night and came away with a third place finish in heat race action. Murray plans to return to Escanaba Motor Speedway this season.
