Mercier earns silver, two-over
NORWAY — A total of 17 teams took to the links at Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway, to compete in the 2021 Niagara Invitational boys golf meet. The host Badgers, who have a new coach this season, Brad Perry, had four golfers compete on the day.
On the team side of the event, it was Norway with a meet low 325 took home the team trophy. They were led by Jeffrey VanHolla, Drew Anderson and Carson Chartier, all with a score of 80. Evan Anderson with an 85 and Tyler Parker with a 113 rounded out the team score for the Knights.
North Central’s Bryson Mercier finished runner up, with a 73, one stroke behind medalist Kaden Bailey of St. Thomas Aquinas who came in with a one-over-par, 72.
