GLADSTONE — Irish Oaks Golf Club hosted the Delta County Area Junior Golf League here Tuesday. In the boys division, Graham Johnson topped 13-14, Caron Artley finished first in 11-12 and Christian VanDamme took the top spot in 9-10.
On the girls side, Abby Hill came out on top in the 15 year old bracket, Brooklyn Beauchamp finished first in 11-12 and Alana Nault won 9-10.

GLADSTONE — Lori Shea shot a 38 to take first in the Irish Oaks Ladies Golf League Monday. She was followed by Holly Canull, Karen McCorkle 41, Jayne Mackowiak, Robin Schwartz 42, Becky Papaik 43, Jami Pond, Morgan Whitehead 44, Lisa Linder 45, Mary Bergman, Cheryl Kamin, Pattie Kivioja 46, Sharon Pinar 47, Betty Andrews, Kirsten Vandeville, Rosie Spindler 48, Sue Cossette, Cindy McCall, Debbie Peterson and Joyce Sheedlo 49.
Highland Couples
BARK RIVER — James and Rose Peltier finished first in the Championship Flight of the Highland Golf Club’s July Couples Tournament recently. The first flight was taken by Mark and Lori Johnson, and the second by Darrel Starnes and Jessica Mason.

GLADSTONE — Caron Salo shot a 44 to lead the Tuesday Ladies League at the Terrace Bluff. She was followed by Betty Fleury, Julie Mayville, Margie Movalson 46, Patty Delveaux, Amy Stupak 47, Nancy Sabor, Judy Lafleur 48 and Wendy Hathaway 49.
Michigan-Wisconsin
Tennis Open
ESCANABA — The 73rd annual Michigan-Wisconsin Tennis Open is scheduled for Aug. 1-2 on area courts.
Singles is $18 per person and doubles is $22 per team. T-shirts will be included. Singles will be played Saturday and doubles will be played Sunday.
Deadline to enter is July 24. Entry with payment must be recieved by July 24 to receive a t-shirt.
Entry forms can be obtained online at escanaba.org or at the Civic Center, which is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Entry forms must be mailed to Escanaba Recreation Department, Attn: MI/WI Tennis, P.O. Box 948, Escanaba, MI 49829.
If there are not enough entrants, the tournament will make a cancellation by July 26 and all players will be refunded.

Hardwick Memorial
four-person scramble
GLADSTONE — The 19th annual Gail Hardwick Memorial/Swallow Inn four-person golf scramble takes place Saturday, Aug. 1 at Gladstone Golf Course.
Entry fee is $65 per person and includes unlimited grilling, cash flight prizes, hole in one prizes, skins, raffles and a par 3 challenge with an additional fee.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10. Golfers must reserve their own cart.

Gladstone Braves
Fan Club Golf outing
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Braves Fan Club will be holding its 26th annual golf outing Thursday, July 30 at Gladstone Golf Course.
Cost is $280 for a four-person team and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch with Stefl’s fries, and pop and water donated by Binks Coca Cola.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three teams in each flight. There will be hole prizes, skins game and each team can buy mulligans. There will be a 50/50 raffle and limited amount of raffle prizes. Each participant will also have the opportunity to win $10,000 for a hole-in-one on No. 5.
