Gail Hardwick Memorial
four-person scramble
GLADSTONE — The 19th annual Gail Hardwick Memorial/Swallow Inn four-person golf scramble takes place Saturday, Aug. 1 at Gladstone Golf Course.
Entry fee is $65 per person and includes unlimited grilling, cash flight prizes, hole in one prizes, skins, raffles and a par 3 challenge with an additional fee.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10. Golfers must reserve their own cart.

Cubs fall at Iron Mountain
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Escanaba Cubs dropped their second straight game in an 8-1 loss at Iron Mountain Monday night in the Upper Peninsula Under-19 Baseball League.
Caleb Johnson earned the win for the Golds while Noah Lancour took the loss for the Cubs (5-3).
Jesse Julian led the Golds with three hits and an RBI while Hunter McCarthy had two hits and two RBIs. Grant LaMarche had an RBI double for the Cubs’ only run.
