Club Calendar Raffle

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Hockey Blue Line Club has changed the dates of its monthly drawings to the second Tuesday of each month at Ferdinand’s Restaurant, 1318 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

The club would also like to remind those who purchased calender raffle tickets from the hockey players can find the winners for each month posted on the Facebook page under Eskymo Hockey Team.

GLADSTONE — Travis Mack was not playing shortstop and did not make the errant throw to first base to allow the winning run to score during Monday night’s Upper Peninsula Under-19 League baseball game between Bark River and Gladstone, as stated in Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Press. Mack started the game at shortstop, but moved to the outfield when the Bucs changed pitchers in the seventh inning.

Three-woman scramble

HYDE — The Highland Golf Club is holding a three-woman scramble July 8. Golf will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. EDT.

Entry fee is $195 per team and includes lunch, prizes and three mulligans. Skins will be available for $15 per team and carts are available for $30.

Golfers can contact the club (466-2791) to register and reserve their spot with a credit card, or registration forms are available on the Highland website at highlandgolfclub.net by clicking on the events tab. Payment is due with registration.

The course is in great shape and the club welcomes golfers to come enjoy the “friendliest course around.” The Highland is located 7 miles west of Escanaba on US2.

Terrace Bluff men

GLADSTONE — Tim Fleury shot a 35 to lead the Terrace Bluff Men’s League Monday night. He was followed by Tim Dementer 37 and Rick Steele and Kurt Strasler 39.

Highland Senior

two-man scramble

HYDE — Mike and Rob Brayak took first place in the first flight at the Highland Senior two-man scramble Thursday. Steve VanEnkevort and Doug Motto took second, Dwayne Roehm and Craigh McDonald finished third, and Mark Ray and Tom Abramson took fourth.

Irish Oaks women

GLADSTONE — Lori Shea shot a 40 to lead the Irish Oaks Women’s League Monday. She was followed by Mary Bergman and Robin Schwartz 43, Holly Canull, Sally Erkkila and Judy Roelke 48, and Debbie Peterson and Jami Pond 49.
