The Escanaba seventh grade boys basketball travel team was crowned champions of the Menominee Hoops Club Invitational Tournament in Menominee Jan. 11.

“It was a fun and exciting day with all players playing hard and contributing,” Esky program coordinator Steve Howes said. “A special thanks to all of the parents who have made this possible with their time and support.”

Howes added the team is greatful for its sponsors this season.

“The team would like to express their thanks to the generous sponsors they have had from Escanaba Anytime Fitness, Carne’s Eco Fuels and Bubble’s Auto Bath,” Howes said.
