Indians pull off big win over Green Bay Shockers

GREEN BAY — Carson Shea provided the Gladstone Indians with solid pitching here Sunday in an 11-1 American Legion baseball triumph over the Green Bay Shockers.

“Carson threw a little bit of everything,” said Gladstone manager Justin Jurek. “He had good control of all his pitches and kept them off balance.”

Shea recorded at least five strikeouts, plus the Indians displayed a balanced hitting attack.

“Everyone did their part,” Jurek added.

“It’s good to see everybody come alive right before the postseason. This was a quality win over a quality team. This is a good time to start peaking. This gave everybody confidence going into the postseason.”

The Indians conclude their regular season at Bark River Tuesday, then host Negaunee in a zone tournament opener Thursday.
