Each of the three unbeaten teams are ranked No. 1 entering postseason play by a panel voting on behalf of the Upper Peninsula Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.

Each of those teams are among a group of 13 U.P. schools in the postseason.

Escanaba, No. 2 in the final large school poll, hosts Ludington at 1 p.m. Saturday.

North Central, No. 2 in eight-player, hosts Forest Park at 7 p.m. (EDT) Friday in a game pitting the last three state champions. Forest Park won in 2017 while the Jets won in 2015 and 2016.

Rapid River heads to Engadine at 7 p.m. Friday.

Also in the playoffs will be Westwood, Iron Mountain, West Iron County, Gwinn and Cedarville.
