Wolves sweep Cougars

EBEN — The Carney-Nadeau Wolves were nearly in top form Tuesday night in a 3-0 (25-6, 25-6, 25-11) volleyball triumph over the Superior Central Cougars.

“We played well in all aspects of the game,” said Carney coach Steve Kedsch. “The kids were passing the ball well. Our setters were setting the ball for our hitters and they were putting the ball down. Those things and a combination of good serving really kept Superior Central off balance tonight.”

Taylor Kedsch hit seven aces. Talisha McCullough and Layla Blahnik-Thoune had six each. Kedsch also had seven kills and Liana Blahnik added six. McCullough recorded 13 assists.

Carney hosts Mid Peninsula Thursday.

The summary:

Carney-Nadeau — Kedsch (seven aces, seven kills, five digs); Blahnik-Thoune (six aces, two kills, sox digs); McCullough (six aces, 13 assists, two digs); Harris (three aces, three digs); Blahnik (six kills); Boulton (three kills); Hansen (two kills, two blocks); Meshigaud (two kills).
